Contract and "the woods"

Well, folks. We have a contract on our house!
Saturday, on our drive home from the woods we had an offer submitted. We spent the majority of that afternoon countering back and forth, signing the final contract that evening.

I know a lot can happen between now and closing, so we're trying to keep a realistic perspective. But, since our scheduled closing is a month away we need to get going on our next move.

Yesterday, after church we drove around Midtown looking at houses, concluding this may be harder than we think.  The good news is we have time. Bob's parents have a basement with a couple rooms and a living area that we can occupy if need be. We've also discussed renting if we can't find a house we like in the next month.

All in all, we are excited and anxious to meet with a buyer's agent to begin our formal search.

In the meantime we are in recoup mode over here. Which means lots of laundry, rest, and planning: budget, meal planning, calendars, preschool.  I can't believe it's already August and it seems this month is filling up fast! At this pace, September will be here before I know it.

Someone started this trip in a much better mood than the last time.

Loves to have her nails painted. I wonder where she got that from?

We went to the local fish hatchery near Branson. The first 5 min were awesome. The rest of the time was spent freaked out our kids were going to fall into the fish bins. That place is not safe. Not safe, at all.

Long day at the beach + baths + new jammies from Nana+ cartoons = little kid bliss

The big kids had so much fun playing board games and cards. They're growing up fast.

Nana offered to watch the kids so the mommies and daddies could have a date night. Such a treat.

She's not modest, this one.

My parents happened to be at a resort near Silver Dollar City, so we spent one day swimming with them. Minus the frigid water temps, the kids had a blast.

Ninja turtle tattoos! Need I say more?

  1. what resort did your parents stay at? We go to Branosn quite often and I haven't seen that one before- we might need to check it out.

  2. Still Waters. They really liked it! Three pools, right on the lake with free kayaking and paddle boats.
